We now make first impressions online before making them in person.  Think about it--- before you start a business meeting, I bet you Google the person you are meeting with.  And speaking of Google, the Google algorithm loves LinkedIn. LinkedIn is often on the first page of search results.  If you want to control the narrative, creating an impactful LinkedIn profile is a great place to start.

This webinar will not cover how to create a profile but will focus on more intermediate marketing strategies.

Learning objectives:

1. Why LinkedIn?

Who is on the platform?

Who should be using the site?

How often should a job seeker be using the site?

2. LinkedIn Headers

The right words and why they matter

Best places to do keyword research

3. A picture is worth 1,000 words

What makes a great LinkedIn profile photo?

How to create a background image

4. Your summary is not your resume

What makes an engaging summary?

Keywords

Don’t forget the call to action

5. Be a LinkedIn AllStar

Guest Speaker: Sarah Johnston is a former corporate recruiter and industry "insider" who got tired of seeing talented high-achievers get passed over for opportunities because they did not have the right marketing documents or know how to position themselves in interviews. She's been featured in Inc, HuffPost, Business Insider and more and was named one of the Top Job Search Coaches to Follow in 2019 by JobScan.
