Time: 10:30 am until 12:00 pm

Location: UGA Main Library, UGA Press (3rd Floor)

Considering a publishing career? This two-part event will provide hands-on exposure to careers in publishing for doctoral students in the humanities, social sciences, and related fields. Professional facilitators from the University of Georgia Press will share details about their work and provide a sample project to student participants during Session One (Sept. 13). Participants will then have a week to complete the small assignment (i.e. an editorial review and project pitch), presenting their results to UGA Press facilitators during Session Two (Sept. 20).

This program is directed toward graduate students in the Arts & Humanities but is open to other students as space allows. Please direct inquiries to Andrew Crain (acrain@uga.edu).

Participants in this program must be willing to commit to attending BOTH Sept 13 and Sept 20 sessions and complete a small applied project (5-6 hours of work over the course of the week). Space is limited to 20 participants. Registration is required by September 5.
