MP Business Analyst Intern at Target Corporation

This summer, I had the opportunity to work as an MP Business Analyst intern at Target headquarters in Minneapolis. In preparation for this opportunity, I pursued many outlets on campus building my resume. My sophomore year of college, I joined AKPsi and became the Pledge Class Treasurer. I enjoyed collecting payments and managing expenses so much that I later became the Chapter Treasurer my junior year. Next, I wanted to challenge myself more and take on different leadership roles. I first became the team leader of Athensboard, a student-run business, where I led team meetings and provided structure for the business. Following the end of my junior year, I pushed myself further to take on my current position as Co-President of Athensboard. In my current position, I manage both the operations and administrative aspects of the business.

While at Target, I worked on an $11.2M opportunity aimed at reducing the costs associated with transitioning non-carry forward items to new items. Our department challenged my team and I with the task of creating a sustainable strategy providing greater transparency into transition periods. After nine weeks of research and development, my team and I developed an Excel tool capable of informing our department about the efficiency of transitioning items. This internship presented me with the opportunity to utilize the skills I cultivated on campus in a corporate setting.
