After taking Christie Sanders’s ECHD 3050: Career and Life Planning class my senior year, I interviewed extremely well and landed an event planning position right out of college. Within 3 months, I was promoted as special events director at the age of 21 and planned over 200 events my first year.
In February 2002, I married my husband and then moved back to Athens in May. After seeing a much needed market for a full service event planning and design company, I started Soiree!, Ltd in January 2003. After 2 years, I was the top event planner for the area, making over 6 figures at the age of 25. Then, in 2007, after giving birth to our daughter, I decided to stay home while being a successful entrepreneur. After much research, I started BrideAttraction.com, a company my husband and I own, in which we educate almost 10,000 wedding professionals throughout the world on how to market to brides, make more money, and have more freedom to enjoy their lives.
We still reside in Athens today and give 10-12 interns per year the same opportunities I was given as a student at UGA so that they may also achieve their desires and follow their dreams!
