Law Class of 2015 at Emory University
When I found out I was a finalist for Emory Law's Woodruff scholarship, a scholarship which would cover my full tuition at Emory Law and a $3,000 stipend, I knew I needed to go the extra mile in preparing for my interview. I came to the Career Center for a mock interview with Shaistha Begum. She was able to help me formulate responses to mock interview questions, which highlighted the best parts of my experiences and personality. In addition, she helped calm my fears about what I perceived to be my biggest weaknesses and gave me the confidence I needed to go into my interview. Although I was not awarded the Woodruff scholarship, I was offered a generous scholarship and plan to attend Emory in the fall.
I know that the confidence and preparedness that I portrayed in my interview was largely due to the help of the Career Center. I am very grateful for their help and guidance through this process. They gave me the skills I needed to stand out among the other applicants and they taught me valuable interview techniques that I will definitely use again!
