Valuation Intern at PricewaterhouseCoopers

This past summer, I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to intern in the Valuation department at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Atlanta. This internship has truly been one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences I have had during my time at UGA. While the program lasted just over two months, the process of actually receiving an internship offer took the greater part of the school year.

Through my participation in many organizations on and off campus, I already had a variety of experiences under my belt, but I did not have a good understanding of how best to convey these experiences to my potential employers. I went to the Career Center early on in the year to get a good idea about how the process would work and what skills I needed to develop. At my very first meeting I had my resume completely revamped. By the second meeting, my Career Consultant, Erica Walbert Ely, had assisted me through various resources such as interview study materials and networking opportunities. I was even able to practice for the interview process with a series of mock interviews. At the conclusion of my internship, I was extended a full time job offer to start with the same group after graduation. I am so thankful to my Career Consultant and the entire UGA Career Center for helping me through the process and providing me with the much needed resources for acquiring my job.
