Intern at HOK Planning Group
I was born in Kenya and came to UGA on a Tennis scholarship. When I began my studies in 2007, I was undecided about my major. During a freshman seminar class, I had the honor of meeting one of the most influential people I have ever met. He informed me about the Landscape Architecture major at UGA and the international recognition it had received. I also took a career assessment at the Career Center and it pointed me in the direction of Graphic/interior design/Landscape Architecture and Engineering.
I was very interested in a career in design and once I learned about the Landscape Architecture degree, I jumped right in. I was warned of the long studios and five year program, but that did not scare me away. I just recently landed a position at one of Atlanta’s top design firms and will be involved with projects ranging from Atlanta to Saudi Arabia. I am very excited and would like to thank UGA and the Career Center for helping me along the way.
