TBS/TNT Programming & On-Air Operations Intern at Turner Broadcasting System
Since my first year of college, I have taken full advantage of the Career Center's resources. My resume and cover letter critique sessions with Marian Higgins have helped me to become a competitive candidate for various opportunities. I have obtained three internships with Turner Broadcasting as a result of my time spent with the Career Center. In the summer following my sophomore year, I interned with TruTV In Session at the CNN Center in Atlanta. At a visit to the Grady College Career Fair sponsored by the Career Center, I used networking to my advantage and was offered a second summer internship the following year with the Standards and Practices department at Turner Entertainment Networks. I am currently enjoying my third internship with Turner Broadcasting as a Programming and On-Air Operations intern with TBS and TNT.
The Career Center has taught me the power of networking, the importance of maintaining a professional appearance and the craft of navigating a career fair. I attribute a great deal of my professional success to the abundant opportunities that the Career Center has to offer.
