International Logistics Analyst – Global Liner Operations at The Home Depot
I received a Career Center weekly email update regarding a position opening at The Home Depot. The job title was for an International Logistics Analyst. I knew the person I would be replacing at The Home Depot because she had since been promoted. I applied on The Home Depot website and emailed the hiring manager. After three phone interviews and an in-person interview, I was offered the job. I really enjoy it because it is a challenging role. In addition to the ability to build an expertise in the transportation and supply chain industry, I get to directly use many of the classes I took as an International Business student. My emphasis in legal studies is very helpful because I work on the team that is in charge of The Home Depot's ocean freight procurement contracts. I started on November 28, 2011. The email updates from the Career Center were very helpful during the job search, especially one in particular. A little networking also didn't hurt either!
