Whitney Denney

Associate Director of Employer Relations

Whitney connects employers with UGA students through recruitment opportunities and supervises a team of Career Consultants. Previously, Whitney served as the Career Consultant for students studying in the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication, and, prior to joining the UGA Career Center team in 2018, Whitney filled the position of Employer Relations Coordinator at Washington State University. She has worked as a digital marketer where she specialized in online writing and social media management, giving her experience in both the communication industry and higher education.

Holly Getchell

Director of Employer Relations

Holly has been with the UGA Career Center since 2004 and serves on our Employer Relations Team as the Director of Employer Relations.

Her primary responsibilities include supervising the efforts of the Employer Relations Team and managing all recruiting activities. Holly spends most of her time consulting with employers on their recruiting strategy, encouraging participation in career fairs and diversity and inclusion events, and sharing opportunities for engagement (based on recruiting needs and goals). Additionally, Holly serves on the Career Center’s administrative leadership team, assisting with office-wide decision-making, strategy, logistics, and operations oversight.

Outside of the office, Holly spends quality time with family, enjoys outdoor sports and activities, and likes reading and baking.

Debi Grayson

Recruiting Coordinator

Debi has been with the UGA Career Center since 2000 and serves on our employer relations team as the Recruiting Coordinator.

Her primary responsibility is managing and coordinating the scheduling of on-campus/virtual interviews for employers thru the Handshake platform, including arrangements for a private interview room at the UGA Career Center. She prepares and communicates information for on-campus/virtual interviews to employers and students regarding the interview program.

(If space is available, the Career Center’s interview rooms are also available for UGA students to reserve for virtual interviews. If you are scheduling a virtual interview with a UGA student, please encourage them to request an interview room.)

Debi’s responsibilities also include new employer approvals as well as the approvals of all job postings in the Handshake platform. She is also a go-to for any technical issues with employer, student and alumni Handshake accounts.

A native Athenian, away from the office Debi enjoys time with her husband and grandchildren on their hobby farm, and of course cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs!

Will Lewis

Associate Director of Employer Relations and Communications

Will connects employers with UGA students through recruitment opportunities. He supervises the team of Terry College of Business Career Consultants and manages all marketing and social media efforts for the Career Center.

Previously, Will served as the Career Consultant for students studying in the Terry College of Business and, prior to joining the Career Center in 2021, was the Lead Academic Advisor for Intended Business students in the UGA Exploratory Center and an Academic Support member for the UGA Athletic Association. He has been at UGA since 2013.
