UGA Student Employee of the Year
Each spring, the University of Georgia coordinates a selection process and chooses the Student Employee of the Year to recognize the outstanding contributions and achievements of students. Working students and their employers provide immeasurable contributions to their institutions and to their community. The second full week in April was established by the National Student Employment Association to honor the students working on campus and their respective employers.
We invite you to express your appreciation for your student employees by nominating a student for The University of Georgia's "Student Employee of the Year." The top 100 student employees and one team will be honored.
What are the awards?
- Individual Undergraduate Award: This award will recognize an undergraduate student for outstanding contributions and achievements throughout their employment.
- Individual Graduate Award: This award will recognize a graduate student for outstanding contributions and achievements throughout their employment.
- Team Award: In addition to the individual awards, we will be honoring one team of students who go above and beyond in their service to others. One nominator will be able to nominate 2-10 students for the team award. Undergraduate or graduate teams can be nominated for this award.
For the individual categories we will recognize the winner and a runner-up at the luncheon, and we will also recognize the winning team at the luncheon.
UGA's campus nominations are to be submitted online by 11:00pm Friday, February 2nd, 2024.
In addition to the individual undergraduate and graduate awards, we will be honoring one team of students who go above and beyond in their service to others. One nominator will be able to nominate 2-10 students for the team award. Each direct supervisor can nominate one student employee for the individual award or one team (2-10 students) for the team award. The team award will be judged on overall impact and the UGA Core Competencies found below:
