UGA Student Employee of the Year

The University of Georgia Student Employee of the Year competition is co-sponsored by

The University of Georgia Career Center      AND      The University of Georgia Division of Student Affairs

 

Each spring, the National Student Employment Association coordinates a selection process and chooses the National Student Employee of the Year to recognize the outstanding contributions and achievements of students. Working students and their employers provide immeasurable contributions to their institutions and to their community. This week was established to honor the students working on campus and their respective employers.

In coordination with the National Student Employment Association, the UGA Career Center and the Division of Student Affairs invite you to express your appreciation for your student employees by nominating a student for The University of Georgia's "Student Employee of the Year." The top 100 student employees will be invited, along with their nominating faculty/staff member, to an awards luncheon on April 15, 2020 at the Tate Student Center.

Who is Eligible?
• All undergraduate students who are enrolled at The University of Georgia and are employed on-campus.
• All graduate students who are on the student employee payroll and are performing student employee jobs.

*Please Note: Graduate Administrative, Research or Teaching Assistants are NOT eligible.

UGA's campus nominations are to be submitted on-line by 11:00pm February 6, 2020.

Individual Award Nomination
Team Award Nomination – New this year!

In addition to the individual award, we will be honoring one team of students who go above and beyond in their service to others. One nominator will be able to nominate 2-10 students for the team award. The winning team will be invited and recognized during the awards lunch. A student cannot be nominated for an individual award and a team award.
The team award will be judged on the following criteria:

  • Communication skills 
  • Conflict management 
  • Organizing and planning 
  • Problem solving 
  • Decision making 
  • Overall impact
