Appointments and Drop-In Hours
Career Center Virtual Appointments
As the status of COVID-19 rapidly changes, we want to reassure you that we will continue to provide a high level of service and support. The Career Center has moved from in-person career appointments to offering virtual opportunities to connect for career counseling appointments.
To schedule an appointment, please do so through your Handshake account. Once scheduled, your Career Consultant will send you a virtual meeting invitation via Zoom. Should you wish to cancel an existing appointment, please do so through your Handshake account.
We encourage you to continue applying to internships and full-time positions through Handshake and other means. Companies have indicated they are still actively recruiting UGA students but are shifting their in-person recruiting model to phone/virtual interviews. Please continue to check the “events” tab in Handshake, as well as interview schedules for updates.
Career Center Virtual Drop-In Hours (M-F, 11am-2pm)
To participate in Virtual Drop-in appointments:
- You must enter the password that can be found on Handshake to join: http://bit.ly/ugacc_dropins
- No preregistration required
- This Zoom link will only work between 11 am and 2 pm, M-F
The Career Center will be offering virtual drop-in opportunities to connect for fifteen-minute career drop-in appointments.
Upon logging in, students will enter a virtual waiting room and be assigned to a career center staff member to proceed with the appointment. Through these virtual drop-in appointments, students can seek career advice and assistance and virtually share their documents (resumes, cover letters, graduate school statements, etc.) for critiques. Sharing your image via webcam is optional.
Drop-In hours begin each Fall and Spring semester when classes start (first day) and end the last day of classes. There are no Drop-In hours in the summer or on days when class is not in session.
