The Value of Faculty Involvement
Year after year students report feeling more confident in their career planning after engaging in career development activities required orpromoted in the classroom. Faculty have been valued partners in the promotion of career education and encouraging career exploration forstudent success beyond the Arch. Please review programming, resources, and services below to support your advocacy. The 2024 reportdeveloped by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), American Association of Colleges and Universities (AAC&U), and theSociety for Experiential Education (SEE) conveyed that over 80% of students reported they are comfortable consulting with their faculty forcareer planning (Gatta, Finley, & Green, 2024). Over 90% of faculty reported that their students in their discipline asked for career advice.Moreover over 40% report they regularly share advice. If you find yourself in a similar position, we would like to support you with toolsconfidently refer students to career education resources and/or facilitate conversations.
Promoting Career Education in the Classroom
We’ve created a marketing kit filled with flyers or slides that can be introduced in class. Please consider downloading and sharing these resources with your students when appropriate. We would like all students to take advantage of the 40+ programs, fairs, events and all resources we provided. The Career Everywhere Faculty Program equips faculty with tools and resources to support the career development of all students. Through career training with fellow advocates and experts, faculty will be able to provide students comprehensive information related to career development resources at the university. Moreover, faculty will be able to refer students to specific, tailored, and individualized Career Center resources. Earn Student Success Activity Certificates byparticipating in this programming.

By the end of this training, faculty will be able to refer students to specific, tailored, and individualized Career Center resources.

In this second webinar of the Career Everywhere Faculty program, faculty learn more about the University Mentor Program and how to leverage alumni connections for personal and career development success.
In the last level of the Career Everywhere Faculty Program, faculty learning about how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be leveraged to support students applying for experiential learning opportunities and jobs. By the end of this webinar faculty will learn about the applicant tracking system, AI resume review tools, and be empowered to introduce the resume tool in the classroom.
