This interactive workshop is designed for graduate students who are actively exploring job opportunities beyond academia and want to approach the process with intentionality, confidence, and strategy. This session will help you think critically about how to align your skills and experiences with the right opportunities.

Through guided activities and discussion, you’ll learn how to identify viable employment opportunities, access resources that will help you tailor your application materials and prepare for interviews. This session emphasizes the use of analytical thinking to navigate the job market effectively and make informed career decisions.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Assess job opportunities by critically analyzing role descriptions, organizational values, and alignment with personal expertise and career goals.
  • Access resources that assist you in creating tailored application materials.
  • Prepare for interviews by evaluating common questions, identifying key messaging, and tools that facilitate interview practice.
