Frequently Asked Questions
Q: I’ve connected an employer to Handshake. Now what?
A: Once employers are approved through Handshake, they will be able to post open positions, register for career fairs, and connect to students. Students can log-in to Handshake and search the company name to view active postings and upcoming recruitment events.
Q: Why can’t I just send job postings to students?
A: Unfortunately, we’ve encountered a high volume of fraudulent job postings over the past few years. If you share a job posting from an individual who hasn’t yet been verified by the Handshake system, we can’t ensure that their posting or organization is legitimate.
Q: Can I check if an employer is already approved on Handshake or receive a direct link to their posting?
A: Sure! Email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
Q: I’m working with a student who needs help engaging with an employer.
A: Connect them with their Career Consultant for 1:1 career coaching.
Q: Do you support on-campus employers, too?
A: Yes! But, the process is a bit different. Reach out to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) for on-campus employer support.
