Employees who demonstrate Creativity & Innovation make a difference in the workplace by understanding the needs of others, navigating diverse perspectives, and making ethical decisions. Join us to explore how this skill shows up across academic, co-curricular, and experiential learning, why it matters to employers across industries, and how to clearly communicate these experiences using a Skills First approach.

As a result of attending this session, you will be able to:

  • Define the Creativity & Innovation skill and understand how it aligns with employer expectations.
  • Explain why Creativity & Innovation is valued in the workplace across industries and roles.
  • Identify and articulate examples of creativity and innovation from your own academic, co-curricular, and professional experiences.
  • Articulate your experiences on resumes and in interviews using clear, skills-based, employer-aligned language.
  • Recognize employer expectations for creativity and innovation and how these skills drive success in diverse industries.
