URGENT UPDATE: The Classic Center, an off-campus convention space in Downtown Athens where the UGA Fall Engineering and Computer Science Career and Internship Fair is held, notified us late last week of COVID policy changes that will affect the fair. The space is not part of UGA and is subject to Athens-Clarke County mandates. These new mandates, outlined below, will affect student and employer entry to the event.
To enter the Classic Center, all guests are required to wear a face mask AND present one of the following:
Covid-19 Vaccination Card + Photo ID
• Guests must show an original, clear photocopy, or clear photograph on a mobile device of an authentic CDC stock issued Vaccination Card with their name indicating full vaccination has been completed
• Guests will also need to show a matching (name must match the name on Vaccine card) valid government-issued Driver’s License, Identification Card, or Military ID card
OR
Completed Health Affidavit + Temperature Check
• Guests are encouraged to complete this Health Affidavit in advance to speed up entry; however, guests may complete the Health Affidavit on site if needed
• All answers must be “no” on the affidavit, and temperature reading must be below 100.4 degrees to obtain entry
OR
Negative COVID-19 Test Results within 72 Hours + Photo ID
• Guests must show an original, dated copy from a recognized and professional third-party tester (pharmacy, health department, Medical Office, etc.)
• Guests will also need to show a matching (name must match the name on the test results) valid government-issued Driver’s License, Identification Card, or Military ID card
• At-home test results are not permitted
Shuttles will run from Driftmier and Soule Hall - to the Classic Center from 3:30pm - 8pm.
