Difficult conversations are inevitable in the world of work. They can be a source of stress and anxiety, which can be tempting to avoid. However, when handled appropriately, difficult conversations can lead to increased understanding, more effective collaboration, and mutually-beneficial problem-solving. Hear from a panel of Human Resources professionals, subject matter experts, and people who “have been there” on topics including disclosure, requesting accommodations at work, navigating conflicting views and personalities, and advocating for growth opportunities/”jobcrafting”.
 
Learning Objectives:
(1)    Increase awareness of difficult conversations that may come up in the workplace
(2)    Learn practical communication strategies to navigate difficult conversations with peers and supervisors
(3)    Gain insight from professionals’ lessons learned as a result of their experiences with difficult conversations in the workplace
