UGA Specific Information for English Education

This program prepares students to teach English language and literature in middle and high school (grades 6-12). Students earn T-4 (initial) certification to teach in Georgia public schools. Students must apply to this restricted major. Requirements and prerequisites should be considered in choosing courses in the first and second years.

  • Interstride - Interstride is an interactive tool for both international and domestic students to enhance their international experience and employment potential. The platform consists of job-listings, hiring trends, employer information, self-assessments, and up-to-date immigration guidance.
