Improving Your Conflict Competence
The date for this event has passed
Date: May 17, 2023
Time: 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm
Location: Virtual Venue (Online)
Regardless of your professional role, or whether you manage others or not, the soft skill of managing change and conflict is one that is absolutely critical for your success. We can't avoid conflict, and it is something that can actually improve our work relationships if we know how to handle it correctly. However, most of us want to avoid conflict. Additionally, it can be difficult to manage situations with a wide range of employees with different backgrounds, skill sets, and ages. These differences along with changes in the way we work (remotely, etc.) can create unexpected conflicts in the workplace, especially when times are more difficult and uncertain.
In this webinar, we will discuss important coaching skills that can help any professional more effectively manage conflict and touchy situations, such as:
-Creating a safe space for open conversations.
-Leveraging active listening to manage touchy situations.
-How to use powerful questions to empower, support, and work through disagreements.
-Three critical coaching skills that will enable you to better manage conflict.

If you are still working remotely or in a hybrid model, are you finding yourself continuously connected to your job? Work-life balance continues to be a hot topic with the Great Resignation and employees are focusing more and more on its importance. The majority of salaried employees work overtime or on the weekend, and this was exacerbated even more because of the pandemic. While our jobs are a big part of our lives, it's absolutely necessary to take a break. It's too easy working from home to get caught up in day-to-day professional activities and allow them to bleed into our personal lives. How can you achieve work-life balance and learn to thrive in your role while working from home, returning to the office, or working in a hybrid role?
In this webinar we will discuss:
-How to maintain work-life balance in any work situation.
-Tips for staying connected with your colleagues effectively.
-How to stay motivated when working remotely and more.

As the effects of the Great Resignation continue, more companies are open to making some adjustments to their long-term benefits in order to retain their employees and manage turnover. This means that more than ever before, employees are able to negotiate successfully for things like flex time, working remotely or in a hybrid model, a raise, and other benefits like education perks - even during a possible recession. However, many professionals are unsure of how to negotiate effectively, build their confidence to make the ask properly, and what they can negotiate for due to the changes in the workplace and in the economy.
In this webinar, we will discuss:
- How to prepare for the "ask"
- Tips for handling the meetings and negotiating effectively along the way
- Ways to close the loop and follow up after the meetings
