Upcoming Career Center Diversity Events

Date Event Location

The Career Center hosts several diversity-related events throughout the year to connect students with employers who are seeking a diverse workforce. Here are a few of the annually scheduled events.

Diversity & Inclusion Recruiting Event
This marquee event, held from 10:00-11:00am before the Fall Career & Internship Fair, provides students with the opportunity to network with employers before the career fair begins.

Save the date for 2019: Tuesday, September 24th from 10:00-11:00am.


Diversity & Inclusion Networking Dinner at Maggiano’s
During this first-class event, over 100 students travel to Atlanta with UGA Career Center staff to network and dine with participating employers. A dessert reception provides students with an opportunity to connect with a employers seeking diverse talent. Students may also participate in the resume book, which employers will have access to after the networking event.

Diversity & Inclusion Career Conference
This half‐day conference focuses on the career and professional development of diverse talent at UGA. With over 100 students in attendance, employer representatives have the opportunity to engage with students during sessions, dinner, and a networking fair.

Diversity & Inclusion in the Workplace (Arch Ready workshops)
This session, which occurs in both the fall and spring semesters, will help students recognize how identity and the challenges associated with discussing identity affects the workplace. From this workshop, students will learn how to:

  • Identify aspects of an inclusive work environment
  • Understand the benefits and the challenges of employee privilege
  • Utilize strategies and resources for addressing diversity related issues in the workplace
  • Understand the benefits and challenges of employee privilege
