Professionalism on the Job

Time: 4:00 pm until 5:00 pm

Location: Miller Learning Center, Room 150

Students will learn how to create an appropriate work wardrobe on a "college budget." Students will also learn how to succeed in the workplace including meeting etiquette, the use of social media, and how to navigate work social interactions such as happy hours and business travel. Additionally, students will explore ways to successfully navigate generational work differences and styles.

After attending this presentation, you will have an understanding of the following: 

1. How to behave appropriately in meetings and other professional situations

2. Appropriate attire and the differences between business professional, business casual, casual, and inappropriate attire

3. Generational differences in the workplace
