It’s crucial to advocate for yourself, but navigating such discussions can be challenging and uncomfortable. This presentation and panel discussion will explore strategies and resources to better prepare you to self-advocate in your career. By attending this program, you will be able to:

  1. Define self-advocacy and explain at least 3 different ways to advocate for yourself in the workplace.
  2. Cultivate strategies you may employ as you enter and grow in your career by reflecting on your needs and values.
  3. Examine real-life examples of how identities have impacted or warranted self-advocacy through a panel discussion.

Our employer guest speakers will be Jodi Murnick with SBL Consulting, Kevin Nwogu with Google, and Katherine Garcia with Momentus Technologies.

Alumni: You are welcome to attend any Arch Ready event. All registration is handled via Handshake. If you have not yet created an alumni Handshake account, please complete the form here. Please allow 2 business days for your account to be created.
